I have mentioned before to some readers that the "seeds" of my stories come from actual events in my career. It's amazing how many new kernels of arm-chair wisdom just keep popping up. I have already begun work on my second book. Later on, I'll be sharing some of the chapter titles of my second book in this blog.
As you notice some themes from story lines emerge, you might be tempted to think, "Wait a minute! That's about ME!" And you would be right...all 428 of you, or 723 of you, or.... It never fails to impress me how often students think that a certain event happens to them alone, when reality states that there is not much new under the sun. However, when I write my stories I like to go back to that first event that I witnessed. It tends to give me much more freedom in a technique I call "conjuring." : 0)
